The Welsh Mountain Zoo

That's where I took my nephew, neice and neices best friend yesterday! Although the zoo is only little, I was absolutely knackered since it's located on a hill! I had around 12 hours sleep last night - that's how tired I was!

As usual, I took tons of photographs of the animals, and the kids of course! Enjoy...

Happy Birthday Tommy!

It was a friends 18th birthday today, so we decided to throw him a surprise party.

Every 4th Thursday, on payday, we go out for a curry. We told Tom that we were going tonight instead so that we could celebrate his 18th birthday. Little did he know that we had a surprise planned!

He walked into Stace's house, and we all screamed "SURPRISE!" And yep, he was surprised! I left just after midnight, and the party was in full swing. Even though I didn't have a drink and everyone was drunk, I still had a wonderful time. I just hope that Tom enjoyed himself too, and that he wasn't too disappointed that we didn't have curry!

I've been slacking

The truth is, I really don't have that much to write about. I could harp on about my depression, or work, but really, it's so boring! So...In my wisdom, I decided to post some photographs for you all! I'm enjoying water photographs again - Boring you with those, is better than boring you with my pity party!!

A day trip to Ireland

This weekend, Des and I visited my cousin Michelle in Ireland. We took the 08:55 ferry from Holyhead to Dun Laoghaire and spent the best part of the day with Michelle.

I slept part of the way to Dublin, and pretty much all of the way home, so I didn;t get any photographs of the sea, or the journey, but I did remember to photograph Michelle, and her cute little pooch, Bob.

Hopefully we'll head over again real soon, but do a couple of days. I really love Michelle loads, and I miss her so much! We so didn't spend enough time gossiping about our family! Heh!

Nikki is home!

There will be a lack of photographs on this post, as stupidly, I forgot to take my camera when we picked Nikki up from the airport last Thursday!

She landed in Manchester at around 10:35pm on May 1st. We drove back to my parents house and the following day Nikki and I went shopping to Broughton retail park.

Nikki should be coming here tomorrow at some point and I think we're going for a meal later on, with a couple of my friends. I'll take my camera with me and be sure to take a few photographs!

I'm so bored since it's my day off today. I was going to visit my parents but I went this weekend and I'm trying to save some money since my next payday isn't until May 1st.

Less than 3 weeks till Nikki is home!!

I seriously cannot wait three weeks! Nikki has been in Egypt since October and I miss her so much!!

I'm travelling to Londons Gatwick airport with my Dad to pick her up on May 1st. We'll spend a few days together and then we're off for a couple of days in London so she can pick up her Visa for working in the States over the summer. I'm hoping we can squeeze in a trip to Monkey World too...Doing the tourist thing should be fun!

It's April already?

Where did the year go? I just can't believe it's gone by so fast. It seems like yesterday we were planning for Christmas!!

Well, the weather is still shocking, so I've been keeping warm in my awesome socks! They are long stripey over-the-knee socks, and I did without cigarettes for a whole day to buy these!

In other news, I've got some kind of colour blindness and screwed up peripheral vision. A trip to the optician confirmed it yesterday =o(. I've been referred to my GP and the eye hospital for further tests to see what strain of colour blindness I have (which cone is damaged and whether it's one or both eyes) and to try and do something with the peripheral vision. I'm hoping I don;t have to have those stupid patches again like I did have for my astigmatism when I was a kid. I have, however got a new pair of glasses on order, and my first pair of perscription sunglasses.

The everyday glasses are thick black plastic frames (think librarian) with a small gold flower type detail on the arm. The sunglasses are thick black plastic frames too with black diamante detail on the arms. Whilst I'm looking forward to something different, it's going to be a huge change and they'll take a lot of getting used to. The optician and Des both said they looked nice and suited me, but I'm not so sure yet. Don't worry though, you'll get pictures next Tuesday or Wednesday! Then you can decide for yourself.
